In simpler terms: Marketing Automation refers to a platform designed to save time, reduce errors, and improve efficiency across numerous marketing goals and activities conducted via various channels.

To explain further, software solutions like Mautic operate on the principle of collecting information from marketing activities and, as needed, automating responses based on predefined static or dynamic filters. These actions are then executed with minimal manual intervention across different channels.

For example:
The initial contact with a potential customer might occur through newsletter registration. With analytics tools integrated with Mautic, you can track when the first actual interaction (e.g., a website visit) happened and which campaign facilitated it. From this point, all customer responses to marketing activities are recorded, correctly attributed, and automatically processed to nurture this lead.
